Cut-off Date for Accepting Cotton Banknotes
"As per the attached Gazette Notice dated June 3, 2021, effective January 1, 2022, only the new
polymer banknotes will be legal tender in Trinidad and Tobago. The cotton banknotes will only
be redeemable at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago after December 31, 2021, and
therefore, Unipet need to ensure all cotton banknotes are deposited by that date. As such
December 26, 2021, will be the last day to accept cotton banknotes.

No cotton banknotes are to be accepted by the stores/ stations from December 27, 2021.
